This is my range of Eid Cakes and Cupcakes for 2012. Eid is celebrated twice annually by millions of Musllims all over the world, and it is traditional to give gifts of sweets. I thought it would be nice to add a twist to this and offer Eid Cakes and Cupcakes as gifts instead of traditional sweets but in Asian Fusion flavours. These cakes were in Cardamom and saffron flavour based on the South asian dessert Gulaab Jaamun.
Usually I write in English on my Eid cakes, but for a change, this design incorporates hand-painted Arabic calligraphy with the greeting “Eid Mubarak” meaning “Blessed Eid”
