Hi, i hope your all well and keeping safe. My friends Dad has his 80th Birthday today. Ben is the best dressed gentleman i know i think, always wearing a hat and a keen gardener. Lots of little details with this cake as i had plenty of time to create while ive been off from work. The greenhouse i made from gelatin sheets. Ben’s family asked me to include a broken pane of glass in the greenhouse as Ben has unfortunately broken a couple while strimming the grass and its become a bit of a family joke. Inside the greenhouse are cucumbers, Ben grows loads of these and they’re delicious! Everything on the cake topper has been handmade and is edible. The sponge cake is vanilla sponge with strawberry jam and vanilla buttercream. I loved making all the elements for this cake, and its my first time using gelatin sheets, im really chuffed it look like glass! xx
