This cake was for two little girls. One side was for a birthday celebration and the other a kindergarten graduation. What I love about it is that even if each half was way different from the other, I felt like both sides were able to shine through in their own unique way. I learned that it probably would’ve been better working with gumpaste as opposed to fondant for the panels on top of the cake as some of them bent over and I had a few broken pieces so that’s not a lesson wasted. Maybe I’ll even be brave enough to try isomalt on the next one.
