Here I present you my creation “Shahid Minar” which is part of a precious collaboration " Magnificent Bangladesh- An International Cake Art Collaboration" hosted by a talented cake artist Tasnuta Alam.

My creation is inspired by the Shahid Minar, which is a national monument in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was established to commemorate those killed during the Bengali Language Movement at 21st February, 1952. 21st February is also recognized as International Mother Language Day. I have specifically intended to replicate this historical structure and capture the essence of emotional attachment behind each Bengali letters as well as show my gratitude towards all “Shahid”. I hope I have been able to represent the same to all of you via my cake piece.
