I used pastel colors for this Fall design in lieu of the bolder Fall colors. I wanted it to have a garden feel while keeping with the season. The mouse is gumpaste and modeling chocolate. The flowers are gumpaste and have been distressed to create a rustic feel. The rose petals specifically have been created using torn pieces of gumpaste. Most of these flowers were created on bamboo skewers and toothpicks so I could push them directly into the cake. Everything was arranged in a wreath pattern. I love the mouse presenting the pumpkin. This cake was created with my clients young granddaughters in mind :)
