I almost never ever accept an order on short notice and especially not one that’s the night before the party! But this lady reached out to me because she was desperate; the other baker made cookies and showed her a screen shot before pick up and they were awful (like a toddler made them), and although I’d JUST finished another order and I was so tired, I couldn’t let down her two year old. So she paid right away, showed me what she wanted and I agreed to do them for the following day. Crazy. I made the cookie dough, baked, cooled, made Royal Icing, piped and finished decorating all within 5 hours (if memory serves me well). The tread marks were added on the morning of the party so I can make sure that the Royal Icing was firm enough to write on. And here they are… I got several lovely compliments and it was all worth it!
