A cake for the lovely Julie’s 60th birthday. Stella, Julies wife asked me to make this cake, featuring Julies favourite things, Llamas, knitting, purple and glitter. Fabulous!! So we came up with the knitting Llama cake topper, ( which can be kept). The bottom tier i created the patchwork ( using Katy Sue s mould) and the top tier a simple pink colour fondant. I was fortunate to have been chosen to make Julie and Stella’s wedding cake a few years ago and they had a unique flying heart wedding cake, ( they also have the same as matching tattoos) . So it seemed fitting to add the flying heart into the design. The sponges were Julies favourite too, lemon and lime with a creamy passion fruit buttercream filling, covered in white chocolate ganache and then the decorative fondant. These girls always give me great design ideas and i look forward to creating many more bonkers but fun cakes!
