Today I managed to whip up a surprise buttercream heart cake for my mums 80th birthday.
The cake was a GF vanilla with mint & rose buttercream, decorated with strawberry meringues, chocolate dipped strawberries, glitter gilded strawberries, semi candied strawberries, strawberry and cream chocolates, macarons, edible flowers and 24k gold leaf.
As my nephew, who has a lot of allergies and intolerances, always misses out I made him some special cherry Bakewell cupcakes too 😊
