I made this cake for a 60th birthday of beautiful Julie. She liked to have a different sort of a birthday cake with un common theme. Given colours were purple and since purple always nicely blends with shades of gray, I chose the gray marble effect on fondant. And since orchids harmonize with wooden texture I decided to arrange it on a modeling choc log. Julies had the happiest birthday, the family said.
