My client requested this cake as a surprise for her daughter’s birthday so we really tried to personalize it for her. The mom liked the idea of incoorporating curly wire because she said her daugter has wild hair and the curly wire reminded her of that:) Her favorite colors are green and purple so I tried to make those the dominating colors. She also loves whipped cream and watermelon Jolly Ranchers so the cupcake on top was filled with a whipped cream frosting and topped with Jolly Rancher “sprinkles” that I achieved by first melting them in the oven and then using a mallot to crush them into pieces. The gum drops around the base of the cake are actual gum drops but I made the rest of the decorations by hand. The popcorn is mini marshmallows and the rest is all done in fondant. Everything is edible except the wires:)
