The theme for Mike’s 50th Birthday was Cheers & Beers to 50 Years. I made this beer barrel cake with edible isomalt ice cubes and melted ice for his celebration. The cake was a decadent chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream and chocolate ganache. The wood panelling on the outside is a blend of fondant and chocolate modelling paste. The matching cupcakes had 50’s on fondant wood embossed discs and Fondant Solutions (moulds) badges saying Man with a Plan and Dude with Attitude. Mike and his guests all fell in love with this cake perfect for his 50th.
