The open book is carved from a 9" by 6.5" 2 layers cake, covered with Satin Ice Ivory color fondant, dusted with black & brown, petal dusts to give the pages a worn look. The additional decos were handmade from fondant too except for the Marauder’s Map (which was printed edible image and wafer paper) and the Golden Snitch (round styrofoam ball covered in fondant, wings from wafer paper and all painted in edible gold dust). Name and age were handpainted with black edible paint in Harry Potter font.
