A cake for my mother-in-law, for her 75th birthday. It’s a double-layered rich chocolate cake with chocolate ganache. I absolutely love the Rosalind Miller “blossoms and bees” cake, and this is very loosely based on that with the different shapes of flowers grouped together by colour. One day I hope to do a more similar version of her cake.
The colour of the cake was a lovely green, which hasn’t come across in the photos. One day I’ll learn to understand my camera :-)
I normally make my cakes higher, but this one is being transported by my husband for 10 hours in the car and he wanted it stored in tupperware for the journey.
