The cake design was inspired by Turkish designs hinting from their architecture to home decor. It gives the cake that depth and a sense of royalty.
Looking at the cake as a whole, the corner edges were coordinated to showcase a wine glass with antique oxidized look leg. Parts of the cake were covered painstakingly with mandala based royal icing design along with touches of edible lace, stamping and bas relief. The mild mixed media in the background along with the focal oxidized wine glass helped make it look like a royal display of art.The hanging cake is done with touches of royal icing, edible lace, bas relief and stamping.
