A lemon sponge layered with lemon curd, lemon syrup and buttercream. This cake hides a hidden cache of jellied sweets for an 8 year old wildlife fan to enjoy on his special day.
Covered in white fondant and adhorned with hand painted pictures of a gorilla, tiger cub and a young crocodile. Edible blossom colours were mixed with cocoa butter to achieve the colours required. I added Wafer paper leaves for an added texture to the design.
