“Love is definitely one of the most powerful feelings that people can ever experience in their lives. For me, the word ‘love’ itself is inspirational in many ways and aspects .
It’s a feeling so pure ,eternal, heavenly, colourful, fragrant… It makes your heart, beat… Makes life bright & meaningful… So , I have tried to depict it in my creation through various elements… "

“The first recorded association of Valentine’s Day with romantic love is in Parlement of Foules (1382) by Geoffrey Chaucer.
For this was on seynt Volantynys day
Whan euery bryd comyth there to chese his make.
[”“For this was on St. Valentine’s Day, when every bird cometh there to choose his mate.”“]
And thus was laid the foundation of celebrating the 14th February with Romance & love. Of being indulgent, fresh n beautiful like a dew drop, the day itself becoming the harbinger of the new season & hope & love!
Over the times, Chaucer’s lyrics have morphed, the lyrics have changed, but the deeper emotions & deeper connotations remain the same:-
The rose is red, the violet’s blue,The honey’s sweet, and so are you.
Thou art my love and I am thine;I drew thee to my Valentine:
The lot was cast and then I drew,And Fortune said it shou’d be you.
My cake is a humble attempt to capture some of the key cornerstones which make the Valentines special.. The wreath & the circle signify eternity with no beginning nor an end. The wings are Chaucer’s birds coming together where the heart unites to beat as one though the physical bodies remain separate and flowers & the roses represent color and freshness and purity
Elements used are Base Tier (fondant drape), 1st Tier (wafer paper & Gum paste heart & wings, coloured with rose gold dust, cake topper (fondant flower wreath & gum paste flowers)-lilies!”
