Blue pottery is a peculiar form of pottery art practiced only in Jaipur which has left its mark around the world. While I was looking for inspiration on pottery I came across the Japanese kintsugi art, which is to repair broken ceramics with gold giving them new and a more refined life. Dragonflies are symbolic to victory in Japanese culture.
Blue pottery, though synonymous with Jaipur has its roots in Mongolian, Chinese and Persian heritage. That combined with the beautiful kintsugi art from Japan, which means when something has suffered damage and has history it becomes more beautiful. And that is the victory symbolized by the dragonflies.
