Cake: bal Krishna & Yashodha maa

The stories of Lord Krishna, especially his childhood and his naughtiness are told over and over again. He spent his childhood in the care of Nandji and Yashodha in a village named Gokul – a city abundant it is said in milk and honey. Often mentioned is Krishna’s love for butter and the lengths he went to get it. This cake brings to life one such scene where Yashodha maa is churning butter at her home in Gokul. Krishna notices his mother churning the butter and is seen here pleading with his mother to give him some butter. Upon her refusal, he is seen clinging to her and demanding butter using all the charms at his disposal.
