Six layers of Victoria sponge filled with vanilla buttercream and homemade caramel. Covered with buttercream, with royal icing drips in various colours. Bright gumpaste butterflies coloured with dust colours.
With a black edible ink pen, I defined the wings once the gumpaste had set.
This was a learning experience and a half!
