This cake was designed to portray a modern Indian wedding cake theme.

It was created for the sugarworks competition at The bakers collective 2017 held in Bangalore, India conducted by the Flour Power events LLP.

This cake won the first place in the competition held at the beautiful Taj hotel, Bangalore!

The colours used signify the passion ,strength, vulnerability, playfulness and opulence of a typical Indian bride.

The stenciling is a small glimpse of the intricate embroidery that goes into an Indian wedding dress.

I tried to bring in a modern yet elegant and traditional Indian wedding concept into the design.
