I am excited to finally get to share my entry for the Collab Australia category of the 2017 ACADA cake show this past weekend. It is a cake “Walk About” featuring landmarks and highlights for each region in Australia, original dot art inspired by the traditional aboriginal dot art, and a modeled Aborigini on top. The top cube is supported by a baobab tree – called the “tree of life” – which is native only to Australia and parts of Africa. So proud to have received gold!

Paintings are painted in cocoa butter with petal dust. The dot paintings are created with fondant dots cut out with a piping tip. The figure is modeled with modeling chocolate.
