Every year, a local school named The Aspire Special Needs Resource Centre has a huge fundraiser – The Evening of Decadent Dessert. It is an incredible event, all about cake and dessert and it raises so much money for their amazing programs!

This is the 4th year I have donated a cake to the live auction! I’ve always made a ‘pretty’ cake…but not this year! Underneath the waves, lurk the mythical creatures that so many have come to love. But the reality is much darker.

Every single element of this cake is edible. I crafted the sea creatures and mermaids by hand, along with the seaweed and coral. The blue water topper is made of sugar too.
