My first piece for this years Sugar Art for Autism Collaboration 😊
The upper tier is based upon a painting by Jessica Park ‘The Chrysler Building’. Jessy is a nationally recognised self-taught artist with autism in the US. She is known for her acrylic renderings of various architecture and urban skylines which have a distinctive colourful pop-art quality to them, and it is this which caught my eye and inspired me. The centre tier is inspired by a number of autism related tattoos either on or using hands that I came across in various places, and the lower tier was inspired by a design on ‘the art of autism’ home page, I was drawn by the brightness of the circles against the dark background.
