I can finally share pictures of one of my favorite cakes ever! Most of you guys know how much I love the color turquoise and texture. Well – both of those were the inspiration behind this design!
My piece for DIY Weddings Elegant Floral Wedding Cakes is entitled “Azure”. The inspiration behind my design was texture with a bold display of color (my FAVORITE color – haha). I wanted to combine multiple textures without becoming overwhelming, so I chose to keep the cake monochromatic. Floating, frilled fondant ruffles are playful and flirty combined with the variegated pearls peaking out underneath. I will post other angles later so you can see how the ruffle design is different from the other sides! Delicate, frilled turquoise blossoms provide the pop of focal color to complete the design. I hope you love it as much as I do! :)
