This was my first 3-tiered topsy turvy cake. I have done 2 tiered ones before, so I was most concerned with the structure & stability of this cake, mainly the teapot. I used the method of cutting into the bottom tier so the middle tier is actually sitting flat. The teapot is made of Rice Krispie treats and there is a wooden skewer going from the teapot lid, through the dormouse, to the bottom of the teapot. There are 2 skewers going from the middle of the teapot to the bottom of the middle tier. The cake actually ended up being very secure. Phew! :)
