This cake I did for PDCA Caker Buddies Collaboration with the theme Bedtime stories.
The story that took up is “Cinderella”.
Since childhood I was very much fascinated with this story and everything related to it. The carriage, dress, shoe and the castle comprises a perfect fairy tale and i interpreted Cinderella just with these.
So I chose on putting all of these in the cake and show different parts on each tier.
Starting with the carriage to the mouse stitching her dress to her crystal shoe and finally the castle where she happily lived ever after.
To make it different than the routine Cinderella theme cakes,I thought of getting a totally NEW concept of “Remote Controlled Cakes”.

So here I have made a Cinderella carriage which is actually moving with a remote control. Yes! It’s moving on it’s own.
Balancing the entire structure was a big task and too much of engineering went into this one.
The techniques used here are very simple ones with a handmade carriage, a carved cake showing the dress stitching scene by the mouse, the crystal shoe is also handcrafted with isomalt crystals to make it look as much real as possible and the castle colours are chosen as per the actual Disney castle.
It was so much of fun making this one and getting a totally new concept of “Remote controlled Cakes”.
