This wedding cake has to be my dream come true! It had been always on the top of my wishlist to do this class with Priyanka ma’am (Polka Dots Cakes Academy) and finally i got a chance to do it😊.
With the Valentine’s day coming up my inspiration behind the cake was as the title suggests “Colors of Love”. I didnt want to use the conventional red colour so i played around with a mix of pastels.
The bottom tier is a drawer which has been given a vintagy look with some play of copper. Above that is an air brushed gold tier with edible fish net lace and coloured isomalt shards on the top and bottom.Then we have a simple pink tier with stencling in gold, further up is a double barrel cake with a mix of coloured asymetrical strips, 2d peonies on sugar sheet and a 3d sugar peony and the topmost sphere has been hand painted.
