This cake was made for a special 60th birthday party and the description was to make a saxophone that was all.
So this is when I decided to make it as realistic as possible, I was lucky enough to have a friend lend me her daughters to enable me to get it as realistic as possible. The actual sax was made using cereal treats buttons and bars were made using spaghetti and sugarpaste. It took over a week to make the actual sax. The case was made from cake, carved and covered in sugar paste. I had great fun completing this cake.
