Hens - Animal Rights Cake Collab
This is my contribution in Animal Rights Cake Collab, organized by Isabel Tamargo of Tartas Imposibles.
I’m so honored to have been part of it!
I thought that we all bakers and cake decorators use eggs every day, never minding of hens, who are forced into very small cages, who can’t not even see the sunlight, who are forced to eat specific foods.
I wanted to represent a family of chickens living in freedom, in the open air, without cages and bars and eating some seeds whenever they like to.
I used orange colour to represent the colour of the sun and I figured the bars with some wires that turn into red flowers, to represent freedom.
Chickens and flowers are painted wafer paper.
