This was a beast of cake and something i regret taking on!
my first time doing a 3d house cake, so will admit its a bit bumpy in places, but considering the customer wanted not 1 or 2 models, but 7 different modelling, a van, 2 kids, 2 dogs and male/female one i felt i didnt have time to focus on the cake.
plus customer i felt was a bit fussy and demanding in terms of how she wanted the girls nose to look, and the price. I only charged her £80 seeing it was a 1st time project which i made her aware of, but for some reason my girl and boy models split in half, the girl had an accident and was knocked managed to put her back togehter but then the boy on roof split and i had to advise customer to put him back together, bit embarrasssing. not sure what i did wrong, i made the models at the beginning of the week, but i find once they harden bits can start to break? perhaps it was because he was on roof and had nothing to suppot him properly. Can you advise how i can learn from this??
Cute!
