Phantom of the Opera

Cake made for my niece’s 14th birthday- Phantom is her favorite Broadway play. It is an 8 inch red-velvet with vanilla buttercream- black fondant and red fondant rose (added tylose)- I used a mardi gras mask covered with plastic to mold the Phantom’s mask- I realized too late that I should have cut the mouth/lips out- I still like the way it turned out though

Love this! And I like the lips in place; looks a little less creepy than some masks do.
