For a chic ladies luncheon, the Birthday lad wanted a simple sleek design. A smoothed out barrel of buttercream, with a rim of fondant and fondant bow. I lightly brushes a wash of pink, teal, and purple. Then added gold to the edges, and a few “brush strokes” randomly places. I did a barrel cake with 6 half 3/4 inch cake layers. Vanilla almond cake, raspberry preserves, and a vanilla bean buttercream.
