This cake is for someone’s mum. I was asked to make a drunken couple. I used glass bottles of their favourite tipples. The cake is just vanilla sponge with jam and vanilla buttercream. Had a bit of a hard time with the fondant and buttercream with the weather being so warm these last few days (not that I’m complaining about warm weather outside, but it would have been nice to have had AC inside just for the cake) so there are a few bulges here and there I’m afraid.
