This cake was for a 60th birthday for a man who loves his two spaniels, Archie and Bertie. He regularly takes them for walks around Hawley Lake and the brief for the cake was to incorporate all of this.

I’ve painted a couple of times onto cake but really pleased with how this cake evolved. I used Sugarflair gel colours handpainted onto an airbrushed background. My next mission is to try painting with cocoa butter.
