. India has a rapidly evolving cake scene and I am working to carve out my niche in it.
The theme for the sitcom collab was Jodha Akbar, the mighty Mughal emperor in history of india who ruled from my city , Agra.
I started by making a tour of Agra Fort and doing my bit of research.
Presenting, My 5 tier Jodha Akbar cake.

The bottom tier represents the magnificent AGRA FORT made of red sandstone. The wall, the way the stones were joined in that era and the current day worn out look too is depicted in the center.

The adjacent walls depict the carving in red stone used to adorn the walls.

The center portion has a shield and swords to depict the warfare and the warrior life style of Akbar.

The Mashalls on the sides depict how the fort was kept lighted in the dark.

The second tier is my most ambitious one and the one that took me almost a whole month to work upon.

It depicts parts of Muzamman Burj and Diwan-e-Aam
or the open court of the emperor where he met his courtiers and the common people.

The fine carvings to create marble jaalis, the Pietra Dura work, the inlay work with precious stones, everything I have tried to recreate using caking mediums.

The Pietra Dura work has been recreated by hand painting them free hand.

The top most tier is again the highest part of the fort, a part of Muzamman Burj with brass lined Chhatri.

The flag on top is the one which Akbar’s army carried.

The highlight of the cake is the Jodha Akbar bust, the middle revolving tier.

It is a two tier cake with Jodha and Akbar’s bust, made back to back.

His turban has a Navratan sar penchch with pearl hangings and a feather.

Her Jewellery is life like and elaborately created with each stone and piece hand crafted individually and then joined.

This cake, my friends is my most ambitious work till date.

I have put in my heart and soul into this because it is my tribute to the city , Agra, where I now belong to!
