I learned a lot with making this cake. I used Candy Melts to make candy clay panels on the sides of the cake instead of fondant. Dang, I always wanted to try this! The other parts of the cake was made of candy clay as well, with the exception of the “Cubs Baseball” and the numbers. The casino chips and coins are chocolate. The cake under the panels and decorations is a buttercream frosted vanilla cake. I also used Wilton sugar sheet and edible marker. Oh yeah, I’m not the original designer of this cake, thanks to whom ever posted a picture of this cake on web, this was my feeble attempt for a friend’s Dad who just had a birthday over the weekend.
