Broadway Musical - Hamilton Cake

I was asked to make a Hamilton cake for a 16 year old girl’s birthday. Did some research and found that the posters had the silhouettes of the cast so I used them to recreate the stage. Then for the plaque, I mimic the actually Broadway sign in NYC.

How did you create the gold color. Did you airbrush or color fondant? And if you used fondant how did you color it? Thanks!
