My sons school is celebrating its 140 year anniversary/birthday, after winning our appeal to keep him at the school (so, so stressful) I thought it would be nice to make a cake for the occasion. It’s a tiny village school with only 112 pupils, now 113, we only got a place through the appeal because of hearing/speech delays my son has, the school really doesn’t have the room/facilities/etc for extra pupils but it was either he stay there and be in a class with 15 others or swap schools and be one of 60 over two classes, he’s a very quiet, loving little boy and he struggles with large groups.
Anywho, we won our appeal and I wanted to give something back to the school and let them know that we will do everything we can to support not only our son but the school too.
It’s not my best work (I’ve been driving myself nuts with "I could have done this/that better/different) but it went from ingredients to fully decorated cake (to feed 120+) in around 14 hours, so it could definitely have turned out worse.
Hope you guys like it and sorry for the waffling.
