Coot Club themed birthday cake, hand painted and topped with sugarpaste boats as featured in the stories.

I loved making this cake. A real labour of love and made for the 70th birthday of a very close friend’s dad. He grew up holidaying and sailing on the Norfolk broads, and they in turn grew up on Arthur Ransome’s beautiful classic stories of the Coot Club. A perfect subject for a lovely family occasion.
