In South Africa in certain cultures they have a “western” wedding on the Saturday (which is all about the bride & going over the top) & a “traditional” wedding on the Sunday (which is all about the groom & his cultural traditions). This was a wedding cake I did last year for a Tswana couple showing traditional life in a Tswana village. The baskets & the clothes worn by the woman stamping the corn are traditional Tswana colours & patterns
