What a challenge this was!! 5 pans of 13×9 cake, RKT and many batches of ganache and buttercream went in to this massive cake. Never have I made a cake requiring internal supports structures to be built. My husband was a great help to me on this one! The structural support for the wave is inspired by Lauren Kitchens giant wave cake. All decorations are gumpaste/fondant and edible with the exception of the supports. Happy to report this cake made it through Floridas heat and humidity sitting at the park for several hours today and is still intact! (except for what we ate) Thank you for looking!
