This was a request for a DIY Enthusiast’s 70th Birthday.
I took inspiration from several photo’s that the customer like the look of and sent to me.
Great fund to make and my favourite things are the nails!
The lid was made using a cake board with 2 square drums and secured to the cake with royal icing once covered in sugarpaste.
His wife decided to add his name on the morning of collection so to keep with the theme, I made a small plaque to look like it had been secured with a nail.
