This wonderfully colorful cake was created as a part of a collaboration by the talented Caker Buddies from Polka Dots Cakes Academy. The cake is inspired by the beautiful dress from the spring summer collection by the Indian fashion designer Manish Arora. The splash of vibrant colors being paired up with the beautiful black and white immediately caught our eye and we tried to turn it into a cake. We sure are proud of ourselves :)

Each element is made using a different technique. The bottom tier is made with black and white stripes placed diagonally. The double barrel is made up of the evergreen chevron pattern where each part was placed carefully by hand. This has been adorned with the hand cut elephant cutouts hand painted in Indian abstract pattern ( we love this one). The top tier is again hand painted to give the splatter effect. The cake is completed with hand cut wafer paper feathers, a silver fondant broach and the colorful ruffle flowers on the left.
