An unusual request , my client asked for a lifebuoy for her husband s 50th birthday ( in orange as its his favorite colour) and asked if i could come up with something to make the design more interesting, after chatting with my friend who also happens to be a cake decorator she came up with the idea of a seagull. So here he is , Steven Seagull! hehe. Handmade, i made a frame out of tinfoil so he was light then covered him in modelling chocolate and then a thin layer of fondant and dusted to bring him to life. My client thought he was perfect, i even got a hug! (( :D)) . Happy days!!

amazing modelling, such a great idea to use tin foil to take the weight away. I should imagine he was super happy with this xx
