15 Sugar Artists came together to do a “tribute in cake” for Dolly Parton ‘s 70th birthday on Tuesday. Thank you Gary Silverthorn for organizing this. My cake is her original coat of many colors. I’ve always loved this song since her mother made her coat when she was a young girl, with the scraps she had and sewed it together with love. It’s preserved and on display for the public. The coat has autumn leaves in and around it so I thought the sugar leaves would fit right in. The butterfly is sugar, too.
