Winter Wonderland!

This theme took me back to my days in Edinburgh, Scotland. I was there for an year doing my Masters. That city is so beautiful, every corner appears to be a painting.

The festivities during Christmas are amazing. The entire city is decked up with lights, quaint corners are adorned with christmas trees, people are on the streets with their family and friends enjoying the christmas markets. There are smiles all around.

One fond memory of Edinburgh for me is the Christmas market. Princes Street would have an ice skating rink, carousel, farmers market along with other things. During my last visit, I loved spending my time there. Me and my friends sat on the carousel, had a blast in the ice skating rink, drank hot chocolate in the cafe close by and made snowman in our backyard.

So, the moment I got to know that I have to make a cake on this, I was transported there. And I knew exactly what I wanted to make. This cake is very close to my heart because of my memories associated with it. Been three years since I am back but I still miss Edinburgh a lot!!!
