This is the piece I made for the collaboration in support of World AIDS Day. The mother-to-be is motivated by the purity of her love for her unborn child (symbolised by the white colour used for mother and the tree), to ascend from her reality of living with HIV/AIDS (symbolised by the images on the board, creeping up her legs and the roots of the tree) to prevent the transmission thereof to her baby and move towards hope (symbolised by the ribbons).

If you like our art, please help us fundraising, all profit is going directly to the Global fund.

UNSA team RED

A coalition of sugar artists have come together to support The Global Fund in its fight against HIV, TB, and Malaria. We are so close to stopping the transmission of HIV from mother to child that we may actually have a Generation born without HIV!! But we are not there yet. Over 600 children are born EVERYDAY with HIV. Please support the 174 artists of the United Nations of Sugar Art by sharing our page and donating to The Global Fund.
