This was my first big competition at the Americas cake and sugarcraft fair. Sadly I did not place but throughly enjoyed it and recieved some inspiration.
He is made from satin Ice fondant and white modeling chocolate. The head and tail is rice cereal treat. The rest would be cake. The branch is modeling chocolate. I did masking to get the white spots on him when I air brushed him. I embossed his body and hand textured his rail, face and legs. In a real cake his legs would be chocolate covered pretzels. I air brushed his him. The little bug is a replica of a orange lady bug from Madagascar .
Cool :)

Amazing, wow
You must never limit your challenges, instead you must challenge your limits
Have a question? Does anyone know the what is needed to enter a competition? I followed the rules to what they stated. But another competitor said I needed to cover the board with fondant and have ribbon on the edge. I was wanting to know what I needed to improve on so I could possible place next time. Thank you!
Awesome! Love it!
