Here’s a Yakshagana birthday cake for a big big fan !!
Yakshagana is a folk art and theatrical form of presenting historical and mythological stories. Popular in the coastal regions of Karnataka, India ( Udupi and Mangalore mainly ), it has a unique and distinct style of music, dance, dialogue, costume and makeup.
Since Yakshagana is usually performed from dusk to dawn I decided to take a few pictures with just the Diya/ candle light to give it a real Yakshagana feel. And as for the wishes its written in Kannada, a South Indian language to give it an ethnic touch :)
