This weekend, we had for challenge to realize a wedding cake on the medieval theme. The bridegrooms wished a realization without romantico love’s symbols, so we proposed a model of realistic castle. We worked on a three square tiers cake, which we used a stony texture stamp on it. For more realism, we used a black dust and brush to darken the chinks of every stone. A relatively long work, but the effect of which was worth it. We duplicated this technique on all the additional architectural elements. We create three blazon, first the shield, crossed by swords, comes to welcome the initials of the couple on silvery font. As for two others, situated in the middle of the composition and voluntarily stylized in coat of arms, they represent a young mouse and an earthworm, a funny wink for the nicknames of the bridegrooms:)
Other touch of humor, a ribbon stamped in old French “Les Epousailles”(" Nuptials ") thrones over a half-opened door, inviting the damsels and the gallants to come to celebrate the wedding. To obtain a luxurious style, we used bluffants silicon molds crowns of Silikomart, airbrush with gold metallic paint. Fleur-de-lys(lily flowers) also arise from the mold " Decoro " of Silikomart and come to add a royal touch to the wedding cake.
Long two-colored flags, leaves of ivy, some murderesses and two doves come to finish this festive creation. We are rather very satisfied with the final result and look forward to the returns of the bridegrooms who, we hope for it, shall have been seduced by our proposal. We wish them long years of happiness.
